Diane Marelli
Accompanist
Diane Marelli has enjoyed a rich and varied career as a music educator, teaching all ages from preschool to college - in the classroom, from the choral podium, and as a private teacher. As the choir director at Riverside Brookfield High School, Mrs. Marelli directed over 20 musicals and plays, both as the vocal music director as well as artistic director. Choirs under her direction performed at numerous festivals and conferences, including the Illinois Music Educator Conference.
After retirement, Mrs. Marelli taught as an adjunct professor at Robert Morris University in Chicago. Most recently, Diane is actively performing as a duo pianist, specializing in 4 hand piano repertoire. She is also the church pianist at Lyonsville Congregational Church in Indian Head Park. Mrs. Marelli has continuously been in demand as a pianist, accompanying Honors Choirs and Music Festivals in Illinois and throughout the Midwest. She has extensive professional experience as a conductor, rehearsal pianist, and accompanist for musicals throughout the Chicago area. Beginning her musical studies at the American Conservatory of Music as a young child, she later received a BA degree in music education from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree from St. Xavier University.
