Kathy Petrak

Kathy is thrilled to be costuming MainStage Theatre’s inaugural show, CHICAGO. Originally from Wisconsin, Kathy attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and earned a bachelor of science in nursing. She moved to Chicago upon graduation to pursue a career in nursing. After having children, Kathy chose to stay home with her three boys. Being home allowed her to volunteer in many capacities. One of her favorite volunteer roles was assisting with costuming for theater productions and elementary school performances in which her children were involved.

 

In 2013 when her youngest son was involved in theater at Hinsdale South High School, Kathy met Danny Yuska. The opportunity to help with costuming as a parent volunteer was again available. In the past ten years, that role has continued and grown into a position providing costuming, hair and makeup coordination, and property management for musicals, contest plays, group interpretations, and performances in the round.
